The CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre (CSIR-SERC), Chennai, has released a notification for the engagement of ITI/Diploma/Graduate Apprentices and Junior Research Fellows (JRF)/Project Associates on a temporary basis. CSIR-SERC is inviting applications for ITI/Diploma/Graduate Apprentices and JRF/Project Associates in various disciplines. The engagement is purely temporary, and candidates will be selected based on their performance in the walk-in interview. Candidates with relevant qualifications and experience are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
ITI Apprentices: Passed ITI in the relevant trade from a recognized institute.
Diploma Apprentices: Diploma in the relevant field from a recognized university/institute.
Graduate Apprentices: B.Sc./B.Com or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
JRF/Project Associates: B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in relevant fields with experience as per the project requirements.
Age Limit:
ITI Apprentices: Minimum 14 years.
Diploma Apprentices: 18-24 years.
Graduate Apprentices: 21-26 years.
JRF/Project Associates: Maximum 35 years (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD as per norms).
Experience:
Relevant experience in R&D, industrial, or academic institutions is preferred for JRF/Project Associates.

Walk-in Interview:
Candidates must appear for the walk-in interview on the specified dates with the following documents:
Duly filled application form.
Self-attested copies of all relevant certificates (educational, experience, caste, etc.).
Original certificates for verification.
Recent passport-size photograph.

Selection Process
Walk-in Interview:
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the interview.
Shortlisted candidates will be engaged as per the project requirements.
Stipend and Terms of Engagement
Stipend:
ITI/Diploma Apprentices: As per Apprenticeship norms.
Graduate Apprentices: ₹13,000/- per month.
JRF/Project Associates: ₹25,000/- to ₹35,000/- per month + HRA (as per qualifications and experience).
Terms of Engagement:
The engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
No claim for regular employment will be entertained.
