Online Applications Invited for Direct Recruitment on All India Competitive Examination Basis

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) invites online applications for direct recruitment to the following posts through an All India Competitive Examination. The details of the posts, eligibility criteria, and selection process are outlined below.

PwBD Reservation

PwBD categories eligible for the posts include:

  • Superintendent: B, LV, D, HH, OA, BA, OL, BL, OAL, BLOA, CP, LC, Dw, AAV, MDy, SLD, MI, and MD involving the above categories.
  • Junior Assistant: As per specified categories in the official notification.

  • Crucial Eligibility Date: 31st January 2025

Reservation Policy

  • Reservation for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PwBD/ESM will be as per Government of India guidelines.
  • Candidates seeking reservation must provide valid caste/community certificates.
  • EWS candidates must possess a valid EWS certificate for the financial year 2023-24, applicable for 2024-25.
  • Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates must fulfill eligibility criteria as defined under Government norms.

Age Relaxation

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (NCL): 3 years
  • PwBD (Unreserved): 10 years
  • PwBD (OBC NCL): 13 years
  • PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per service tenure
  • Women: 10 years
  • Departmental Candidates: No bar

Eligibility Criteria

Superintendent (Group B)

  • Education Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of computers, MS Office, databases, and internet.
  • Typing Speed: 35 w.p.m. in English / 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on a computer.
  • Selection Process:
    • Tier-1: MCQ-based preliminary screening examination
    • Tier-2: Objective & descriptive written main examination
    • Skill Test (qualifying nature)

Junior Assistant (Group C)

  • Education Qualification: 12th Class or equivalent qualification.
  • Typing Speed: 35 w.p.m. in English / 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on a computer.
  • Selection Process:
    • Tier-1: MCQ-based preliminary screening examination
    • Skill Test (qualifying nature)

Examination Fee

  • Unreserved/OBC/EWS: Rs. 800 per post
  • SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/Women/Departmental Candidates: NIL
  • Payment Mode: Online (Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking)

Scheme of Examination

Superintendent (Group B)

  • Tier-1: Objective (MCQ) type (OMR Based) Examination – 3 hours
    • Sections:
      1. Current Affairs & General Awareness (30 Questions, 90 Marks)
      2. General Mental Ability & Logical Reasoning (30 Questions, 90 Marks)
      3. Arithmetic & Numerical Ability (30 Questions, 90 Marks)
      4. General Hindi & General English (30 Questions, 90 Marks)
    • Total: 120 Questions, 360 Marks
  • Tier-2: Descriptive Type Written Main Examination
  • Skill Test: Typing Test (Qualifying nature)

Junior Assistant (Group C)

  • Tier-1: Objective (MCQ) type (OMR Based) Examination – 2 hours
    • Sections:
      1. General Intelligence & Reasoning
      2. Numerical Ability
      3. General English & Hindi
      4. Computer Knowledge
  • Skill Test: Typing Test (Qualifying nature)
